Netflix
The biggest streaming platform needs no introduction. During my time at The Best Social, I mainly worked as a content creative on the Netflix account.
Many of my concepts, like the ‘who is watching’ format, the horoscopes, and ‘are you still watching’ type posts remain pillars of the brand’s social media to this day.
Here, I’ll show a couple of my favorite memes, posts and some cases to illustrate my way of working.

Case: Dark Crystal
For the launch of Dark Crystal, an abundance of content was already available to be used worldwide. However, the brand really wanted a fun way to introduce the long-awaited show to the Dutch and Belgian public, whilst being fun for people who weren’t that interested in the show. That’s why I thought of something that is widely known: tarot cards. People are always interested in something that tells them a little bit about themselves. The copy for each character related to the their story, so fans got a little more information about the show.
Case: Marianne
For the launch of a new horror show, Netflix really wanted to showcase how scary it was. The series is about a young writer with a jaded past. She has to keep writing about witch Marianne, or she’ll have horrible nightmares. Because everybody has a nightmare every now and then, I thought of ‘The Netflix Book of Nightmares’ in which the most occurring nightmares are explained. In each ‘chapter’ there is a jump scare with a scene from the show. Afterwards, people could contact Marianne with their most recurring dream or nightmare, which were answered as the witch herself.
